Supermajor formed in late 2008, brought together by a mutual love of anthemic choruses, vocal harmony, epic and melodic rock music, and laser sounds. They’ve been building momentum, an audience, and a secret underground fortress since. Their music demonstrates the maturity of a fine wine, or a really big tree, with epic sweep (“Kids Will Have a Blast Probing the Heavens,” “A Little Piece of the Sun”) sharing space with ballads (“Kaleidoscope”) and full-on blasts of face-melting rock (“Sound the Alarm,” “Cemetery Eyes,” “Shotgun”).
Since their formation, they’ve been touching music fans (not literally) on the east coast and beyond. They’ve seen a lot, played a lot, and loved a lot, and that love – of music, of performing, of reaching out and connecting with an audience through song – carries them forward. The band has just released its second EP, LIJE, and now looks to an ever-brighter future filled with song and monkey butlers.
